18th C. French Zinc Roof Cresting / Faitage
18th C. French Zinc Roof Cresting / Faitage
18th C. zinc architectural fragment from a chateau's decorative trim known as "epi de faitage" or roof ridge cresting. Extremely old and extremely fragile, there are not many examples left to be found. In our decades of importing from Europe, this is only the second time we have had the pleasure to offer them. They are striking as garden ornamentation or unique wall decor.
Dimensions: 47ʺW × 3ʺD × 27ʺH
We have several other examples (both small and large) now for sale as well as numerous terracotta, wood, and iron architectural salvage pieces acquired from a well-known European antique dealer.
Very good condition considering age and use; old repairs and breaks as shown.
