Trio of circa 1880 ironstone cachepots discovered at London's Bermondsey antique market. 19th C. Victorian era pottery reclaimed from building and excavations sites throughout England and Scotland. Fascinated with the rich history and the awesome aesthetic, we bought a huge variety of this pottery directly from the finder. This set is decorated with vertical striations; glazed interiors and exteriors with drip glaze accent on rims; unglazed bases. Each jar is handmade and varies a bit in color and size. No maker's mark.
Dimensions: 3.8ʺDia × 5.5ʺH.
Overall good condition consistent with age and use; fabrication flaws, small base chips, edge roughness, patina.
