Best known as the author of books inspiring the musical "Guys & Dolls", Damon Runyon had a more expansive career than generally known. As a writer, he spanned the gamit from sports to politics to organized crime. An inveterate lovers of horse racing, one of the books is very rare and highly collectible customer printing of his writings on the racing world, "All Horse Players Die Broke" was commissioned in his honor by the Del Mar Turf Club. The set also include a 1st ed. anthology, "Damon Runyon Favorites", 1946.

All but one are in very good vintage condition; the horseracing title has a cracked cover but the binding and pages are intact.
