Collection of lovely hand-painted Art Nouveau porcelain from France and Bavaria. Decorated by hand in shades of turquoise-green, pink, and pale yellow with gilded accents on a white ground. The set consists of 11 two-handled soup/dessert bowls (7.25"W x 5.25"D), 14 salad/dessert plates (7.4"Dia. & 7.6"Dia, and matching salt & pepper (2"Dia. x 3.25"H); a total of 27 pieces.

The bowls and 8 of the plates are marked "T&V, Limoges, France" the distinct single green stamp of Tressemanes & Vogt between 1891 & 1907. The six additional plates are marked with the artist's name "Petty" and Thomas "Sevres" Bavaria, the stamp used by Porzellanfabrik Thomas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rosenthal, between 1908 & 1939. The salt & pepper are unmarked.

Overall condition of all pieces, except one plate, is excellent -- gilt is well preserved, colors are vibrant, no chips, no cracks, no crazing. One plate has significant loss of gilt on the edge and a chip, as shown. Both the salt & pepper retain their corks, but one has slipped into the shaker.

Free local pickup; otherwise shipped via economical parcel delivery.
