Heavy verdigris copper ashtray with striking graphic appeal. Bowl is a triangular receptacle with beaded rim and decorative flourish at the front point. The vertical portion is a sculptural rendition of the presidental figures carved into the Harney Peak granite of Mt. Rushmore. On the back of the ashtray is the inscription, "Mt. Rushmore, National Memorial Shrine of Democracy". We date the piece to the mid 20th Century, perhaps not long after the sculpture was completed in 1941.

Good vintage condition, one cigarette rest is broken off but does not deter from appearance.
