Vintage French Game Board & Rules Sheet

Add a little French style to your decor with this traditional game board from "Le Nain Jaune" (the yellow dwarf). The board features a chromolithograph of five subjects -- Le Nain Jaune, Lancelot (knight of the Round Table); Pallas (Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom, fertility, the useful arts, and prudent warfare), Charles (Charlemagne, King of France); and the lucky 10 of diamonds (symbol of wealth and financial achievement). Additionally, the rules of the game (in French) are on a second board of the same size. The game board boasts beautiful gilt and strong graphic interest; sure to be a conversation starter. Suitable for framing.

Marks: "Jullien, Editor a Paris" on the game board and "Coulommiers - Typ. P. Broadard et Gallois" on the rules board.

Condition is fair with wear appropriate to age & use; game board image is very good with brilliant colors; margins and edges are rough and torn as they were formerly glued to a box frame. Rules board has tears and edge scuffs.
